Researcher in the Documentation Center of the Economic Agreement and Foral Treasuries in the Department of Contemporary History of the UPV/EHU, and lecturer in the Department of Didactics of Social Sciences of the Teacher’s Training School of the UPV/EHU since 2011.


Degree in Information Sciences from the UPV/EHU (1988), Master’s Degree in International Studies -Third World Development Support from the University of Iowa (1994) and Doctor in Political Sciences, specializing in International Relations, from the UPV/EHU (2010).


His teaching activity was linked to the Department of Spanish and Portuguese of the University of Iowa in the USA (as a teaching assistant 1990-1993) and to the Training Program for Indigenous Leaders developed by the Pedro Arrupe Institute of the University of Deusto and the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights of the United Nations (2000-2012).


He develops his research activity in the field of International Relations. In developing this work, he has taken part in several projects, notable amongst which are the project La Pedagogía de las Relaciones Internaciones: Nuevas dimensiones técnicas y prácticas, funded by the UPV/EHU, and the project URAZANDI, in which he has carried out tasks of coordination, follow-up, training, research and popularization of content linked to the history and reality of the Basque diaspora.


In the field of management, he has been Communication Advisor of the Department of Relations with Basque Collectives of the Basque Government (2006-2009) and the person in charge of evaluation of the Centro Internacional de Información y Documentación de los Pueblos Indígenas (CIIDP) (2000), amongst others.
