Contracted researcher in the Department of Contemporary History of the UPV/EHU, where he has developed his activity since 2004.

Degree in History from the University of Deusto (2000), Diploma in Documentation and Management of Historical Patrimony from the University of Deusto (2001) and Doctor in History from the UPV/EHU (2008).

He has made stays as a postdoctoral researcher in the Universidade Nova of Lisbon (2010-2011). 

He develops his research activity in the consolidated research group Biography and Parliament, in the lines of research concerned with the analysis of elites through collective biography and prosopographic analysis.

In developing this work, he has participated as a researcher in several research projects and contracts, notable amongst which are the Biographical Dictionary of the Spanish MPs (1810-1854), and the Biographical Dictionary of the MPs of the Basque Country (1876-1939).

Together with this group activity, he has developed individual research on Political History and Republicanism in the Basque Country during the contemporary period.
